Meteor Cloud Updates ☁️

Introducing Root Domains Support on Galaxy

You know how it used to be a bit of a head-scratcher to set up root domains on Galaxy? Well, we’re jazzed to tell you that those days are history! We’ve supercharged our platform, and now pointing the root of your domains directly to our load balancers is a walk in the park.

No more juggling multiple configurations. We’ve untangled the process, so you can now hook up your root domain to our servers without breaking a sweat. That means less time wrestling with settings and more time doing what you do best: running your business.

To get your root domain pointed our way, it’s as easy as pie. Just hop over to the “Domains and HTTPS” part of your app’s settings. Find the IP address we mention there and create an A record pointing to that IP in your DNS provider settings. Simple as that. Learn more about it here.

Push-to-Deploy Now Stable for All Git Providers

For all Git Providers, including GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket, Push to Deploy is now stable. With this long-awaited enhancement, you can easily update or deploy your application without leaving the repository. It’s included in all of our packages, even the free one!

All versions of Meteor between 2.4.1 and the most recent are supported, along with 1.12.2, 2.0.1, 2.1.2, 2.2.4, and 2.3.7. Please give it a try and share your thoughts with us at support@meteor.com.

We remain committed to developing Galaxy into a superior service for you.

Miscellaneous 💡

Meteor.js with Vite, Solid, and Tailwind CSS

Use Meteor.js, Vite, Solid, and Tailwind CSS together to improve web development. We follow you through building a Meteor.js project, integrating Vite and Solid, setting up an entry point, and using Tailwind CSS in our tutorial by Fred Maia. Create your first Solid component, use signals for real-time changes, and launch your app with our help.

Coming Soon ⏳

We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to or raised awareness about Meteor. We’ve covered the major events in May. The next section will contain highlights from June.

Meteor 3.0 Alpha

As you know, Meteor 3.0 is currently in development. Henrique Schmaiske’s weekly updates, located here, help keep you up to date. It’s coming, but there’s no timeline.

Our team is working hard to provide the latest Alpha version as soon as feasible. However, failed CI tests are slowing our development.

For more details, you can stay connected to learn about the exciting developments in Fibers and Meteor 3.0.

We hope you enjoyed reading this month’s Meteor Monthly Update and hope to see you again soon. If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints, please leave them in the comments area. Until next time! 👋
